PROCKTIRB is not just an identity, but an individual with a thought process that is defined to build prosperous futures. A PROCKTIRB shall wear a character that is unique to D Y Patil International School, and a personality that is sought after by many, but worn by the deserving few. A PROCKTIRB will bring peace to the world and smiles to the hearts of many. A PROCKTIRB will be the desired youth for global evolution and betterment. We all have aspired to be this way. But where have we got lost? Or, is there a PROCKTIRB within us?.

PRINCIPLED

Action that is wrapped in integrity and honesty gives birth to fair, just and noble individuals who earn respect by maintaining the respect and dignity of others. They are level headed, capable of taking responsibility for their deeds and the results that follow.

RISK TAKERS

RISK backed by solid confidence stems from belief in oneself. Self belief evolves from sound and healthy upbringing. We endeavor to instill these attitudes in our students to make them daring yet responsible. Our goal is to prepare them to deal with unusual situations with objectivity and foresight. Our premise shall ensure a stable and healthy emotional quotient which will helps students to face precarious situations with confidence and patience. After all, we want our students to cherish independence of character, to explore new paths and be unfaltering in shielding their beliefs.

Our genuine intention is to create dynamic, yet humble and kind individuals who never hesitate in a given situation and create a world of joy and peace around themselves. We attempt to instill values that lead to making them secure and firm human beings.

Various co-curricular activities like strategy games shall make our students accustomed to precarious situations, a practice which aids in sound decision making. Moreover, scholarships to the deserving few will create ground for success. We want all our students to draw benefit from the huge well of knowledge and learning and enrich themselves with confidence and character based on fine values and thoughtfulness. Real life situations, practical case studies, project works, group work and handling situations in the real market place is what students will experience at our school. This will not only instill within them a sense of satisfaction and self worth, but a sense of responsibility towards society.

We shall make our students ready to venture out into the world, evaluate situation, take calculated risks, and overcome failure if encountered.

OPEN MINDEDNESS

At our school students shall be nurtured to cultivate the art to appreciate one's own cultures and personal histories, and be open to the perspectives, values and traditions of other individuals and communities. We shall achieve this quotient by teaching them to be open to different points of view, and to grow from experience. Also, a continuous interaction with pupils from diverse backgrounds shall nurture within our students a solid sense of tolerance, thereby making them ready for global challenges.

An open-minded attitude springs from profound learning created amidst diverse cultures and different mindsets. This fosters wisdom which blooms into togetherness and humanity. Our methods of teaching are geared to instill within our students a sincere commitment to serve others. Such an attitude can change the face of this world dramatically. At school they will be motivated to be caring, positive thinkers and effective communicators. We believe that understanding and expressing ideas confidently and being equipped with more than one language can be of added value in the commercial world as well as society. We shall equip our students with state-of-the-art communication skills using different media. An all-round personality development that springs from various grooming and etiquette building techniques will be practiced by our teachers during the course of schooling.

The campus shall prove to be a superb impetus for art, culture and learning with well set and sophisticated library, art, music and drama studio and a media centre and an amphitheatre. Various activities like outdoor and indoor sports, seminars and symposiums, interactive projects and CAS (Creative Action Service) activities might provide momentum for building valuable communication skills.

These activities will only inculcate leadership & life skills into the students and mould their personalities.

There is no treasure like knowledge and the more you share knowledge, it increases tenfold.

At our school one shall encounter the opportunity to learn in every undertaking. Be it through interaction with diverse cultures and ethnic backgrounds, academic pedagogy or, a vast library overflowing with information from across the globe and other resources. Our students shall stand tall in the world of competition and human resource.

All of the above rich knowledge mine coupled with practical education, problem solving skills, participative culture, and inquiry based learning shall make for dynamic personas and ever curious minds thirsting for more knowledge in every aspect. Subjects such as Languages, Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Music, Drama, Physical Education, and much more will be planned to pave the path to progress and continuous growth.

In fact, our students will be taught one very important lesson. That learning should never end and there is no end to learning. Our students will always be encouraged to explore new ideas and concepts that are of global as well as local importance. Moreover, they will be acclimatized to acquiring in-depth knowledge and understanding across wide range of disciplines to apply to daily life and make a better living for themselves and others around them. Not to mention that students might even gain admission to European and American universities throughout the world.

THINKERS

Applying thought to life situations is what makes one truly enterprising. Well defined academic programmes to inspire critical reflection on knowledge and to encourage students to question the basis of knowledge, to be aware of subjective and ideological bias, and to develop the ability to analyze evidence that is expressed in a rational argument will form the backbone of teaching at our school.

This Theory of Knowledge will form the foundation of all subjects to make learning a fruitful experience at school. They develop the natural curiosity and acquire the necessary skills to conduct effective research and display independence in learning and therefore, in over all behavior. This practice sustains learning as an enjoyable activity all through life. In fact, our goal is to cultivate responsible and compassionate world citizens. We intend to make our students energetic, empathetic and cooperative.

All these qualities curtail from being good enquirers. At school, we shall expose them to situations where they might need to apply their mind and find out answers for various issues on their own. Through this technique skills such as communication, self-management, social diplomacy and research will be developed to make the pupil an independent and responsible learner. Also, multiple languages will add to their ability to be able to embark on issues new to them. Through a structured Integrated Studies program, the students may develop higher level questioning skills.

Learning will be articulated as Units of Inquiry into various subjects, which shall enhance intellectual development.

Exchange trips and extended essay writing in the chosen field of interest will be instrumental to inquiry building qualities and excellent exposure worldwide.

REFLECTION

Reflection is a very important tool for self improvement and also for peace of mind. Reflecting on ones actions and thoughts gives the mind space to analyze and plan wisely for further actions and accomplishments. It helps to take away the negatives and makes way for fresh ideas while keeping in mind personal strengths and limitations.

Most academic programmes at our school will be based on moral values. Our intention being to help our students in reflecting on their experiences and learning and taking wise, committed action. Reflection will also be imbibed through various activities like yoga, meditation, chess and a host of indoor and outdoor sports. Athletics, hockey, football, cricket, 400mts track, squash, badminton, swimming and tennis will be available for our students. This kind of a huge play-ground will provide the forum for them to grow strong in the body and active in the mind, creating the gateway for happiness and prosperity.

BALANCED

A well balanced life leads to harmony at work and at home. A mind that is at peace will always perform better in all aspects of life. Our every endeavor shall be to create and sustain a healthy balance in all spheres of learning and various activities at our school. We believe balance is the catalyst that is vital to life as a whole. At our School one will experience an equilibrium that resonates with positivity.

Central to the development of internationally-competent students are the attributes of the International Baccalaureate Learner Profile and International Baccalaureate Attitudes. You will experience these characteristics woven into the framework of life at our school; in the classroom, the hallways, the sports field, the playground and the lunchroom.

The vocabulary of the Learner Profile and Attitudes will be integral to the communications between students, teachers, parents and communities.
